Google Gave Your DSAs A Reprieve (Until Feb 2027)

Google has officially pushed the Dynamic Search Ads to AI Max automigration back from September 2026 to February 2027, and even reopened the door to creating new DSA campaigns from June 15. Liaison Ginny Marvin framed it as giving advertisers runway and protecting Q4 from chaos, which is corporate for yes, we heard you screaming . AI Max is still the new default for fresh Search campaigns, just not the only option anymore. If you have DSAs running, take the runway and use it. Audit each campaign, line them up against AI Max in a side-by-side, and migrate on your own terms before February 2027. Our own early tests of AI Max have been underwhelming so far, so we are in no hurry to hand over the keys. The advertisers who treat this as an experiment now will land in 2027 with data, not panic. Google Ads Quietly Rewrote The Rules Of Who Runs Your Account

On July 1, Google Ads' new Terms of Service kick in, and they read like a polite handover note. Google now formally authorizes itself to "serve ads, including through the use of automated program features to format, select, or generate targets, ads, or destinations" on your behalf. Critics are calling it the biggest reduction in advertiser control in years. Google is calling it modernization. What you signed up for: AI-generated copy, AI-selected destinations, AI-built audiences, all under your account name with your responsibility intact. Read the new ToS, make sure your team knows what consent looks like now, and double down on negative keywords, brand safety lists, and exclusion settings. The autopilot is on, and it just checked your seatbelt for you. Safety. Hazard. Warning. Read More // DATA & ANALYTICS

EU Cookie Consent Is About To Get Less Annoying… And Stricter

The European Commission's Digital Omnibus, first published in November 2025, is creeping closer to law and it'll rewire how cookie consent works across the EU. The plan is simple: browser-level preference signals, a six-month re-prompt ban so you can't ambush users every visit, and clearer rules on what counts as opt-in tracking. The fatigue is going down, but the enforcement teeth are not retracting. For marketers this means cleaning house now, not panicking later. Make sure your CMP, Google Consent Mode setup, and first-party data pipelines actually work end-to-end. Server-side tracking pulls back 15 to 30 percent of lost signal when users decline, which is the difference between accurate attribution and yelling at your dashboard. Want help? OpenAI Just Turned ChatGPT Ads Into A Real Performance Channel

On June 5, OpenAI flipped on conversion-optimized campaigns for ChatGPT Ads, letting you optimize toward purchases and leads instead of just impressions. The catch is housekeeping. You needed either the JavaScript Pixel or the Conversions API fully wired up by June 1 to qualify for early access. It's the biggest change yet in OpenAI's slow march from awareness toy to performance channel. For ecommerce brands this is the moment to actually test ChatGPT Ads, not nod politely at the next conference. Get your conversion plumbing live, sync your product feeds, and put a small budget in before everyone else realizes it works. Performance channels reward the brave first, then they punish them with rising CPMs. Read More // TECH & INNOVATION

X Rebuilt Its Ads Manager From Scratch (Yes, Really)

X (the platform formerly known as Twitter, and very keen for you to remember that) just shipped a fully rebuilt Ads Manager with three measurement upgrades. A Google Tag Manager integration that lets you set up the Pixel and Conversions API without writing code, one home for all CAPI developer tools, and a real-time diagnostics dashboard for event health on both client and server side. After years of ad revenue decline, X is trying to look like a grown-up platform again. Maybe that IPO from Spacex is pumping money into the right places after all, who knows? It wasn't all sunshine and roses. When the rebuild first landed we hit genuine turbulence on our own campaigns. The Sales conversion objective went unstable, daily spend refused to report in real time, granular keyword and interest targeting got swallowed into AI-driven intent buckets, and the API flat out stopped working for a solid

Pinterest Showed Up To Cannes With An Entire AI Toolkit

At Cannes 2026, Pinterest unveiled a stack of AI ad tools. A Business Assistant that hands advertisers visual trend guidance inside Ads Manager, Pinterest MCP for plugging Pinterest data into partner AI workflows, and a Performance+ creative upgrade with dynamic selection that's already lifted click volume by 7.5%. It also launched Ask Pinterest, a beta conversational shopping app that's essentially a private experiment in AI commerce. Pinterest has quietly been the most underrated platform in your media plan for years, and this is the upgrade that makes ignoring it harder. If you have any visual product category (fashion, home, food, beauty, travel), book a test campaign with Performance+ and the new dynamic creative. The 7.5% lift is real, the audience is buying, and Cannes was the soft launch. Read More // SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

Reddit Just Posted A $6.85 ROAS Receipt For Entertainment Brands

A new TransUnion study commissioned by Reddit, covering Q1 2023 to Q4 2025, found media and entertainment advertisers averaged a $6.85 ROAS on Reddit campaigns. The headline number is fine. The more interesting bit is the halo effect. Reddit campaigns drove an 18% incremental tune-in lift and viewers watched 15% more content than the competitive benchmark, meaning the platform punches well beyond its own walls. For brands that have been treating Reddit as the weird-subreddit experiment slot in the media plan, this is the receipt to take to your CFO. The platform plays specifically as a discovery channel that primes off-platform behaviour. Pick a vertical, run a clean test, and measure incrementality, not just in-platform clicks. Read More // That's it for June, and what a month for Google moving the goalposts. The new Terms of Service hit July 1, Dynamic Search Ads got a six-month stay,
